Prerequisites

We recommend installing Visual Studio Code (for creating and editing scripts) and 7-Zip (for unpacking server files), as these tools make the process much easier. While there are alternatives you can use, our video guides are based on this software. Furthermore, it is recommended to enable the option in Windows to always show file extensions.

If you are setting up a FiveM for GTAV Enhanced server, the Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 Redistributable must be installed. Download and install it before running the server.

Creating a Cfx account

If you already have a Cfx account, you can skip this step.

A Cfx account is needed in order to set up your server at a later point.

Create a Cfx account

Go to the Cfx Forum and click Sign up in the top-right corner.
Enter your email, username, and password, then click Sign up.
Check your email inbox for a confirmation message and follow the link to activate your Cfx account.

Once confirmed, you'll be automatically signed in and ready to go. Your Cfx account is created.
